Skip founded Geonexus in 2009 after over 25 years of experience in the GIS, Utilities, and Asset Management Industries. Before starting Geonexus, Skip served in leadership roles with Esri and a large system integration firm. He is an expert in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise GIS and specializes in integrating Esri ArcGIS with Enterprise Asset Management systems including IBM Maximo, Oracle WAM, and ABB Enterprise Software; customer information systems; and mobile technology. When Skip isn’t at work, he can usually be found spending time with his family or volunteering for his children’s field hockey, lacrosse, and swim teams.
Jim has over 30 years of financial experience and has spent the last fifteen years as Chief Financial Officer of multiple companies across a variety of industries and sectors. Jim has worked for firms such as Ernst & Young, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Johnson Controls, Tecumseh Products, and served as CFO to a variety of entrepreneurial ventures in the technology, financial services, healthcare, retail, and software business sectors. Jim earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Michigan with a specialty in accounting and information systems. He also holds a Juris Doctor from the Law School of Wayne State University.
Jeremy has over 20 years of experience in application development and software engineering projects. He is involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to end-user training. In addition to software development, he is also responsible for overseeing development strategies for the Geonexus Integration Platform. Before joining Geonexus, Jeremy worked at EMA where he developed an application to link, load, and synchronize data between IBM Maximo and Esri ArcGIS. When he isn’t developing software or fixing bugs, Jeremy enjoys spending time coaching his 3 daughters’ various sports teams.
Caroline is responsible for overseeing the sales and marketing organization at Geonexus, which includes direct sales, account management, marketing, communications, and technology, authorized re-seller, and system integrator partnerships. With over 20 years of experience, Caroline is an accomplished sales and marketing leader with expertise in global brand and business strategy, brand management and product development, omni-channel marketing, communications and B2B and B2C sales. A proud University of Michigan Wolverine, Caroline has earned a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Stephen. M. Ross School of Business, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communication Studies and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology from the university.
Umesh is responsible for providing oversight for the customer success organization at Geonexus, which includes software implementations, technical support, and consulting services. Umesh has over 15 years of experience in business analysis, project/program management, and client management with various IT services and consulting organizations. He has successfully led and delivered highly visible initiatives using cross-functional teams and is passionate about planning, creating efficiencies, and solving complex problems. Umesh has a Bachelors in Economics from the University of Michigan. When he isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his family, cooking, exercising, and cheering for the Wolverines.
Amelia is responsible for managing technical support, plays a key role in executing implementation projects, and assists with software QA and testing. Her favorite thing about working for Geonexus is working directly with customers to solve problems. Although she has a background in GIS, the data integration field provides a unique opportunity for growth and challenge for her. Amelia holds a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science from Central Michigan University. Outside of work, Amelia enjoys outdoor adventuring and traveling, teaching her cat to do tricks, and utilizing creative outlets including multimedia art, upcycling used goods, cooking, and gardening.
Brooke is responsible for coordinating and completing all software release and testing processes, maintaining documentation, and working on the development of the Geonexus Integration Platform. She is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a bachelor’s in Marketing and Logistics Management as well as a certificate in Web Development. In her free time, Brooke enjoys traveling, playing guitar, and spending time outside with her pup, Nugget.
Brad specializes in the implementation of GIS and EAM integrated solutions, with experience in the Gas and Electric, Environmental, and Utility industries. He is responsible for the timely execution of project deliverables and ensuring “go-live” success for our customers. Before Geonexus, Brad worked for Davey Resource Group and CMS Energy where he had a variety of roles including Utilities System Technician and GIS Analyst. Brad earned his bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University in GIS, with concentrations in Environmental and Land Use Planning and Geospatial Analysis of the Environment. When he isn’t working, Brad spends time playing guitar and learning new songs to impress his friends and peers. Along with playing guitar, Brad likes to spend his free time outdoors and enjoying nature.
Ryan has five years of experience working in the geospatial industry. With high-energy and an eagerness to learn, Ryan is responsible for growing business by selling the Geonexus Integration Platform and professional implementation services. He is a graduate of The University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering, Hotty Toddy! These days, when he isn’t selling software, Ryan is an avid Detroit sports fan and enjoys spending time with his furry companion Khan.
Jennifer is responsible for overseeing the company’s back-office operations including human resources, accounting, and payroll functions. She holds a Bachelor of Science in History from the University of Wisconsin. Before working for Geonexus, Jennifer worked as a Project Manager for an environmental consulting firm. When Jennifer is not at work, she is caring for her three children and volunteering with their sports and school-related activities.
Mat is responsible for implementing the Geonexus Integration Platform, working directly with our clients to ensure the software is configured and supported. Mat has worked in the GIS industry for the last 15 years, providing consulting services to public and private utilities and other government agencies. He is a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Geography, Remote Sensing. For fun Mat plays bass guitar, dabbles in foreign exchange trading, is an avid reader, and keeps a collection of ancient Greek pottery.
Wenhua has over 5 years of experience developing ArcGIS Desktop applications using .Net. He is proficient in ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Desktop. At Geonexus, he is a developer for the Geonexus Integration Platform, GeoWorx Sketch, and GeoWorx Office. Wenhua holds a Master of Geographic Information Science from Eastern Michigan University. Outside of Geonexus, Wenhua enjoys his time with family. He loves swimming and fishing.
As Lead Sales Engineer, James is responsible for providing technical expertise on the sales team and leading potential customers through the technical sales process. This includes acting as a solution’s architect for Geonexus products and integration initiatives for prospective customers. James has worked in the GIS industry for the last 10 years, providing consulting services to civil engineering firms, public and private utilities, and the commercial real estate industry. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Chicago with a B.A. in Anthropology and has a certificate in GIS from the University Of North Dakota. He also has an FAA Remote Pilot License and a certificate in Python. Outside of work, James enjoys traveling, ice hockey, cycling, skiing, and creating music.
Lindsay is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing marketing strategies and coordinating the logistics and marketing efforts related to company events, conferences, and trade shows. She is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and also holds a certificate in GIS from Western Michigan University. When she isn’t working or attending trade shows, Lindsay can be found spending time with her husband, playing tennis, trying new recipes, traveling, and enjoying the great outdoors.
Kai is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan where he studied electrical engineering and computer science. He has experience working with software development technologies like C++, Python, and Java. At Geonexus Kai’s work mostly concerns automating the testing process of the Geonexus Integration Platform. When Kai is not working, he enjoys trying new foods, surfing (when he can), or diving into a new fictional book. He loves to spend time with his family and friends and will take part in any competitive activity, particularly card games.
